Sister Of Baby Shot In The Head In Georgia Questions Her Mother's Story [Video]

Child's mother, Sherry West.
Now... I tried my best to word my original post on this story to NOT seem callous towards a mother that just lost her 2nd child to violence.  Especially because the last child she recently lost was only a BABY!!  But to me, the story just did not sit right.  From the article I read on Huffington Post, neighbors say that the event was really unusual for their quiet neighborhood.  While taking her baby on a stroll in the neighborhood, these random teenagers approach the mother with her child and asks for money.  When she doesn't give up any money because she has none, which I think is very apparent by the looks of her, ('though they can be deceiving), these kids shoot her twice: A superficial wound to the ear and a shot to her leg... The one person that could surely identify the perpetrators... Left alive and well.  Yet, they shoot an innocent baby, point-blank range, directly in the head.  A baby.  Just didn't seem right to me.

Neither did her statements such as:
"He asked me for money and I said I didn't have it," she said. "When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They're expensive. And he kept asking and I just said `I don't have it.' And he said, `Do you want me to kill your baby?' And I said, `No, don't kill my baby!'"

So, these strange kids roll up on you stickup-style, asks for money and this is your thoughts:
"When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They're expensive."

RHOA News: Porsha & Kordell Stewart Headed For DIVORCE!!!

Have you guys seen the headlines all over the blogs today?

"Kordell Stewart Files For Divorce From Porsha"... "Porsha Says She Was Blindsided"...

I would like to say this comes as a shock, but... not really...

Porsha, although she is a beautiful, young gal, is DITZY as a mothafuck'ah!! (Ain't she?!)  All throughout this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta I saw the struggle in Kordell as he tried to be patient with her mental shortcomings.  But how much of that shit can one take?!!  I could not imagine living with that gal day-to-day!!

I know it takes all types to make the world twirl 'round, but some shit I just can't deal wit'.  The forever "blonde" moments???!.. I just cannot deal!

Then Mr. Kordell... Regardless of how they (he and Porsha) try to twist the truth up, HE IS CONTROLLING!!! It ain't no way around that!  They both talking all this "Kordell's the man...I respect my marriage... I respect my husband..." BULLSHIT!!!  I mean, it all sounds good. But being controlled doesn't look nor feel good for either person involved. (Or at least it shouldn't.)

I am not married, (nor have I ever been controlled), so I cannot speak from complete experience, but I can say that I am big on respect.  I get a woman respecting her man and their relationship, no matter if that relationship is boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife or whatever in between.  If there is a mutual understanding established and the relationship is monogamous, both parties should respect one another and what they have.  Period.

Loiter Squad As The Real Housewives of Atlanta [Video]

Jasper and Taco(as Nene & Sheree)

I just caught up on the first 2 episodes of Loiter Squad on Adult Swim.  The below clip is from Episode 2.  The guys portray the Real Housewives of Atlanta and it is FUNNY!!

Although Loiter Squad's depiction of the show is exaggerated a tiny bit, doesn't this really make you think on just how stupidly catty the majority of these reality tv cast members are? They create arguments over the smallest, unoffensive shit ever.  Mind-boggling and entertaining. LOL

10- Year Old Boy Killed By A Sign At An Airport

In the Birmingham, Alabama airport, a 300-400 pound "Arrival/Departure" sign fell on 3 children and a mother yesterday, killing 10-year old Luke Bresette.

The other two children involved have been treated (and released, presumably), while the mother, Heather Bresette, remains in critical condition at University Hospital.

From Huffington Post:

Albert Osorio, 46, of Birmingham told () that he was close by when the sign fell. He said a loud boom was followed by screams from the family and witnesses. Then he and five other passers-by lifted off the sign.
"The whole thing flipped down on those kids. It took all of us here to stand it up," he said.
Airport spokeswoman Toni Herrera-Bast said officials aren't sure how the sign fell. She said it happened about 1:30 p.m. Friday in a pre-security area of the airport. The airport continued operating while rescue workers tended to the family.
The airport completed the first phase of a more than $201 million modernization effort and opened newly renovated concourses last week.
Mayor William Bell issued a statement saying the city offered its full support to the Airport Authority in investigating the accident.

Such a freak accident.  Unbelievable.

A Mother Loses Her 2nd Child (Just 13 Months Old) To Violence

From Huffington Post:

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A Georgia woman said Friday a teenager trying to rob her at gunpoint asked "Do you want me to kill your baby?" before he fatally shot her 13-month-old son in the head.

Sherry West wept while she told The Associated Press that she pleaded with the gunman and a younger accomplice who approached her Thursday morning while she walked near their home in coastal Brunswick.
"He asked me for money and I said I didn't have it," she said. "When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They're expensive. And he kept asking and I just said `I don't have it.' And he said, `Do you want me to kill your baby?' And I said, `No, don't kill my baby!'"
She said the teen fired four shots, the first into the ground. West didn't see a shell casing ejected, and said she assumed the gun wasn't real.
Then he fired at her head and the bullet grazed her left ear - she has a small scab and bruising there. He fired again and shot her in the left leg above the knee. "I didn't know I was hurt."
"The boy proceeded to go around to the stroller and he shot my baby in the face," she said. "And then he just shoved me when I started screaming and he ran down London Street with the little boy."
Police spokesman Todd Rhodes gave few details about the investigation Friday, but said no weapon has been found and that investigators were checking school attendance records for leads.
Several people in the neighborhood called 911 after they heard the gunshots fired, but Rhodes said investigators believed that the mother was the only witness to what happened.
"Understand this: There is no clear motive right now," he said.
He urged anyone with information to call Brunswick police. There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
It's not the mother's first loss of a child to violence. Sherry West said her 18-year-old son, Shaun Glassey, was killed in New Jersey in 2008. She still has a newspaper clipping from the time.
Glassey was killed with a steak knife in March 2008 during an attack involving several other teens on a dark street corner in Gloucester County, N.J., according to news reports from the time.

This story is beyond sad!!And I hate to say, but something doesn't seem right with this either.  Maybe it's because the story comes so close on the heels of the baby that was shot to death in Chicago recently.  I don't know... Can't quite put my finger on it, but it's just something... However  the story goes, an innocent child is no longer here and that's totally screwed up!!

Life Begins At Conception: North Dakota Is Set To Go Full-On, PRO-Life.

North Dakota's House of Representatives have passed an amendment that will give embryos rights (from the moment of conception) and ban ALL abortions in the state, with NO exceptions, if accepted by the people of the state in November 2014.

From Huffington Post:

North Dakota became the first state on Friday to pass a fetal personhood amendment, which grants legal personhood rights to embryos from the moment of fertilization. The state House of Representatives voted 57 to 35 to pass the amendment, after the Senate passed the same measure last month.
The measure will now appear on the November 2014 ballot, and voters will be able to accept or reject it. If it passes, it will amend North Dakota's constitution to state that “the inalienable right to life of every human being at any stage of development must be recognized and protected.” The amendment would ban abortion in the state, without exceptions for rape, incest or life of the mother, and it could affect the legality of some forms of birth control, stem cell research and in vitro fertilization.
“The North Dakota legislature has taken historic strides to protect every human being in the state, paving the way for human rights nationwide,” Keith Mason, president of the anti-abortion advocacy group Personhood USA, said in a statement on Friday. “This amendment strikes the balance of accomplishing more for the unborn than any other amendment the nation has ever seen, while protecting pregnant women and their right to true medical care. We applaud the North Dakota House and Senate for their willingness to protect all of the people in their state.”
Similar fetal personhood initiatives have been rejected by voters in several other states, including Mississippi, one of the most socially conservative states in the country.
North Dakota state Rep. Kathy Hawken (R-Fargo) told HuffPost on Thursday that she and several of her Republican colleagues strongly oppose the bill and are planning to protest it at a women's health rally on Monday. "I have so many friends with grandchildren from in vitro fertilization, and to take that away from these people who desperately want children is not okay," she said. "I believe if men had babies we would not be having this discussion."

I'm thinking this amendment will be rejected come November 2014.

"Mirrors" Justin Timberlake [Video]

JT's vid for "Mirrors" is a neat look at an elderly couple's life together.  I enjoyed the concept and the way it was all put together.  I do not much enjoy the over 8 minutes length of the vid.  I totally could have done without him dancing all around the mirror maze and the inclusion of his little mirror ladies.

But, check it out for yourself:

And I have yet to cop his album, but judging from this video, he's totally going the 'Future Sex/ Love Sound' route with the 2-in-1 songs.  I LOVED that album and the way he gave us songs with great intros and outros.  When I get a chance, I'll download the album and let you all know all 'bout it.

Ratchet Report: Another Royal Rumble At A Chuck E. Cheese

Since a lil morning RATCHET ain't neva hurt nobody, check out this story of yet, ANOTHER Chuck E. Cheese Battle Royale:

What started as a standard child's birthday party in Florida at Chuck E. Cheese ended in an 18-man brawl that led to a shooting and at least three arrests.
The melee on Saturday led to the arrests of Briana Walker -- the birthday child's mother -- Alfred Peoples and Robert Thompson, according to WPBF. Walker allegedly had a Xanax pill and marijuana in her purse, and someone with her was found with crack cocaine and morphine, police said.
It all started in the bathroom of a Boynton Beach Chuck E. Cheese, where two men started arguing. Just minutes later, they allegedly started a fist fight in the dining room, and another 16 people joined in. Employees were able to move the battle outside, but not before the birthday boy's grandmother was trampled, witnesses told WPBF.
The fight spilled out into the street and continued miles away, where one man pulled a gun and fired at a car, hitting a passenger in the leg. That suspect is still at large.
When police arrived, they found Walker, Peoples and Thompson in the parking lot and arrested them on drug charges. They also allegedly left the restaurant during the fight without paying a $300 bill, Opposing Views reports.
Investigators later found empty vodka bottles hidden in a diaper bag at the scene, the New York Daily News reports.
Stories like this are beyond crazy!!

Now, it's unclear whether those that began the fight were with the same party or not, but assuming that they were, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU ATTEND A PARTY THAT YOU KNOW YOUR ENEMY WILL BE AT?!!  A little kid's party at that!  It ain't like you gonna miss out on something.  Was it worth attending Lil Man Man's party, eating that nasty ass pizza and drinking weak ass fountain drinks, just to end up in jail?!!

I mean, really... Why do folks not use the lil bit of sense that God blessed them with?!  Avoid a bad situation.  Or do you wanna prove something that damn bad that you'd fuck up a kid's party?! And I guarantee the dudes that started the fight see each other every damn day but saved the putting hands on each other for Chuck E. Cheese.  (I can't make sense of it.)

And then the alcohol in diaper bags... Drugs on the parents... What the fuck?! Really though.  Y'all should have just planned a house party for all this foolishness and hired ya homegirl's mama to dress up like a clown for entertainment.

Chuck E. Cheese need to enforce a dress code.  Shit like this 'bout to have these kiddie establishments discriminating at the door, just like most clubs be doing. It's sad and pathetic.

Movie Review: Dead Man Down [Spoiler Alert!!]

Scene from the end of the film

Me and my beau have been waiting to see 'Dead Man Down' since seeing the preview when we went to see 'Side Effects'.  Last night we finally got our chance!  The previews really sold that damn movie! I was intrigued as all hell! (Weren't y'all?)

After viewing, I think the movie is Okay.  And even better than okay, actually.  It is a good movie, but not one that I'd view again.  Not even when it comes to Blu Ray and DVD.  And that's solely because the "Magic" of Hollywood has lost its luster in my eyes.  And I try to take movies for what they are worth: STRICTLY entertainment, but I really can't fully enjoy films that are too far-fetched.  No matter how great the concept.  (Unless it's of the Science Fiction genre)

Peace of Mind..

I posted the above Textgram and caption on Instagram yesterday to reflect my sentiments at the moment.

I had recently revealed to a friend that I no longer wished to be involved in a project that she began and invited me to partake in, and give creatively to.  The project is sound and seems very promising, but once really involved, I realized that it wasn't a good fit for me.

Since January, the thought to back out HAUNTED me!  But, I had given my word that I'd be a part of this great opportunity that my friend was kind enough to put before me.  No way was I 1: Going back on my word and 2: "Slapping my friend in the face" by (later) declining such a sweet offer.  These two things had me caught up in an internal struggle against the very dominant thought to bow out as graceful as possible.

So, months pass by, and daily I carried around this struggle and I was unhappy with myself.  I was unhappy that I spoke with this friend and saw this friend and pretended to have my heart in her project, when it no longer was.  I became stressed to the max and even experienced a couple nightmares within the past few weeks!! And I barely ever dream.

My mind wasn't right.  And it was all due to this inner issue I had.  I needed a Peace of Mind.  BADLY!!  So, as best I could, I explained to my friend that I was backing out.  And even though I truly appreciate the opportunity that she had given me; I can no longer contribute to it and be confident that I'd be proud of the final product. She understood.

And just like that, I now have a PEACE OF MIND.

I give this story to remind everyone to NOT keep things bottled up.  Do NOT continue on a path that's not for you.  Sometimes we are afraid of other's reactions or how they'd view us, but at the end of the day, when issues aren't spoken on, they weigh heavily on us. And we all know That's NO GOOD.

RHOA's Kandi Burruss Sues Ex-Cast Member, Kim Zolciak Over "Tardy For The Party"

Kim (l) and Kandi (r) as "friends"

Via Access Atlanta reports:
In the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia, Burruss and co-writer Rodney Richards are seeking “damages for copyright infringement due to Defendants’ unauthorized and unlawful licensing, distribution and sale of Plaintiffs’ creative works, namely a sound recording embodying a performance of a musical composition entitled ‘Tardy for the Party. ‘ “
The song, in which Zolciak’s daughter Brielle gets songwriting credit, sold 102,000 copies, the lawsuit said.
This issue was a major plot point on the show season three, which aired in 2010 and 2011. On the show, Burruss complained that Zolciak hadn’t paid her what she was due for her work producing and co-writing the song. The conflict was addressed yet again last year during the season four reunion show though it appeared Burruss was ready to put it behind her.
In past news stories, Burruss said she had been paid only a one-time $4,000 fee. According to a Hollywood Reporter story in 2011, Burruss “didn’t have an agreement in place concerning royalties but also because she handed over rights to Bravo.”
She added at the time: “I know Kim was new to the music industry so I don’t feel like she was purposely trying to wrong me. I just think she was misinformed.”
The song was recorded on April 30 and May 1 of 2009. Burruss also sued TuneCore, which distributes music to online retailers.
Zolciak has used “Tardy for the Party” as a catchphrase and it’s the name of her upcoming spinoff show, debuting April 16 on Bravo, at 9 p.m., followed by Burruss’ “The Kandi Factory” spinoff music show at 10 p.m.
Fellow “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mate Phaedra Parks is representing Burruss.
Coincidentally or not, Burruss, Zolciak and the other housewives are taping the reunion show this week, a source told me.

WOW!!  If Kim was REALLY a "friend", or even just a tad bit of a "professional" it would have never come to this.  Point blank: Kandi took a song that Nene and Kim was playing around with, (a horrible country music song--Y'all remember that?), and turned it into a hit.  Gave Kim all types of exposure and income and Kim gave her... $4000?!! Totally not fair.

Kim's foul.

And while the lawsuits are rollin' in, Nene should get her a lil piece of the pie.  Wasn't "Don't Be Tardy For The Party" her and Kim's lil "joke" from the beginning?  (I'm jus' sayin', WHERE'S HER CUT?)

"Benjamin" Lore'l (From Love & Hip Hop) [Audio]

When I hit PLAY I was hoping to hear some hot shit.  After the way her home girl blasted her in her lil book reading on Love & Hip Hop, I gotta root for Lore'l.  She's a genuine person, just tryna make her way in the world and specifically into a career that's difficult to shine in.

But, after hitting PLAY, I realize the song ain't hot and actually, according to ole Lorrie Lore and her good (backstabbing) friend, Winter, she really ain't too in love with the Benjis.... o.O

Mr. West is kinda tight behind his #7 spot on MTV's "Hottest MC's In The Game" list.  Soooooo of course he runs down why!! (It's only right, right?.)

Below is audio of a taped interview with DJ Enuff:

Hold up... That really Kanye??..  Noting Wayne as the #1 rapper??.. Saying Wayne, Jay-Z and Eminem in the same BREH'FF(breath)?!!  (Oh, the confusion!!).. And talkin' bout he gave Sway his first t.v... (Which has nothing to do with nothing, really.)

...Sway does tweet that it's true, so I guess this does confirm it is actually Kanye.

Mother Drowns 9-Year Old Son Because He Had A Small Penis!!

I can't even...

From Huffington Post:

An Indonesian woman drowned her nine-year-old son in the bath, claiming she was worried that his "small penis" would affect his prospects for the future, a police spokesman said Thursday.
The 38-year-old woman from the capital Jakarta told police her son had had a small penis prior to being circumcised, but that it appeared to shrink further after the operation, police spokesman Rikwanto, who goes by one name, told AFP.
"She told police investigators that she killed him as he would have a bleak future with his small penis," Rikwanto said.
"She drowned her son in a bathtub filled with water. She then dressed him and laid him on a bed. After that, she went to a nearby police office to report her crime."
Rikwanto said the woman was fully conscious of what she had done, but police ordered a psychological test to assess her mental condition.

This is tragic and uncalled for.  SMH.
