Lorde's Birth Certificate Proves That She REALLY IS Just 17 Years Old! (Do You Believe?)

Just as much as we all admire Lorde's vocals and her hit single "Royal", we also wonder "Is she REALLY just 17 years old?!".

Lorde absolutely appears much more mature than one in her teens or even twenties, (dare I continue??)

According to Huffington Post,  her birth certificate has been obtained and supposedly it states that she was born in 1996.

Lorde doesn't really bear resemblance to any teenager we've ever known, and she also seems to possess more wisdom than most adults three times her alleged age. Theorists additionally note that some of the singer's quips in recent interviews seem to give the conspiracy legs.
"Hi, I'm Ella," she deadpanned to Vanity Fair at a pre-Grammys party, "And I'm actually 45."
And then there was that time she told Rookie Mag's Tavi Gevinson, "[The Virgin Suicides] really resonated with me as a teenager," adding, " I mean, I am still a teenager."
So now you're thinking it's all part of a scam, right? Just like that "Felicity"writer/actress Riley Weston who claimed to be 18, and earned praise as a "wunderkind," before it was revealed she was actually 32. It was all very movie-of-the-week, but when it comes to Lorde, apparently she's actually the real deal.
The Hairpin shelled out a whopping $17.02 to the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for a copy of the singer's birth certificate. According to the document, Lorde, whose real name is Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor, was born Nov. 7, 1996.
She's 17.

No matter her age, she is appreciated for her talent.  I never could understand the big deal with entertainers not revealing their age if they happen to be "older" (whatever that number is..).  I think the older that one hits the scene and experiences some level of fame and recognition for their talent(s), the better.  These examples definitely serve as inspiration to others that may believe they are "too old" to follow their dreams.  I think that's great!

It's not only the teenagers or early-20-somethings that need/want entertainers that they can relate to age-wise.

Do you believe this little "revelation" about Lorde?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Fights And Other Sh*t That Just Wasn't Right!

The Grammys tried to threaten our Sunday night pleasure of catching the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in all their glory... TRIED!  (I DVR'd dat!!)  I just had to see what that pajamas party fight was all about! And I would NOT be deprived!  WOULD. NOT.

The latest episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta was too much, was it not?!! From Phaedra's youngest boy's ("Let's Make Up A Reason" to have an) over-the-top party to Nene's aspirations to fill Jerry Springer's shoes: concocting fights and messiness galore with that get together to stir up drama, disguised as a pajamas party.  It was all just much too much!

The show began with Phaedra and Mr. Dwight meeting at the venue for her son's shindig.  I got to give it to Dwight: he knows how to put together a decent party. And that floral blazer had me droolin'!  But, really.. Must a mansion, dancers and caterers really be a part of your fam and friends formally meeting your infant??  I know most of this absurdity was Phaedra's idea and all. But, Mr. Dwight... As a friend!..Can you let the sista know when she gotta cool it?  Please??

And did y'all peep his chuckled reaction to Kandi's engagement (ring)?  Really.  What was that all about?!

And while we talking bout things "peeped"... How 'bout when Daddy Dwight almost dropped Phaedra hefty ass at the end of their dance routine!! That dip almost turned into something Phae Phae ain't quite plan for.

Now, that was the first half of the show.  The extravagant infant party.  The second half belongs to Nene's "Pillow Talk" pajamas party.

Prior to attending the party, Cynthia sat her husband, Peter, down to fill him in on the ladies' day at the vineyard (last episode) and the drama that took place.

Miss Cynthia.. Miss Cynthia...  Regardless if she knows it or not, (like she told Mynique about being READ..), but she is messy as all hell!!  Now, being messy is one thing.  But being messy and not even being a quarter -way ready for repercussions!!??? I cannot deal with that one.

Cynthia just ain't built for this dumbness she's been sticking herself in the middle of the past few episodes. And that's cool.  I believe a lady her age should act like she ain't 'bout no foolishness and keeping dumbness going.  But, NOOOOOOOO. She wanna be loose at the mouth one second then get overwhelmed the next, when everybody looking at her like, "Why you run that nonsense back??"

So, she calls herself giving Peter the scoop, but she ain't tell it all.  She left out some major key pieces:  (1) This all popped out the bag because she wanted to be down and give da TEA to everybody on what Christopher Williams' boo shared with her and Peter about Kandi's fiancĂ© Todd being an "opportunist" (Peter's word, not that of Chris Williams' boo).  and (2) She also didn't tell the whole story when she told Peter what Kandi said about knowing him.  Kandi's whole point that day was that Chris' girl was bringing up Todd's past to CYNTHIA and PETER!!! And this is why Kandi used Peter as an example.  The example was that she knows of/heard of Peter's past and she doesn't believe that the past man he was is representative of the current man he is in his marriage to Cynthia.  THAT is the whole damn story.  So, if you gonna tell it,  tell it right!!

In that situation Kandi was simply trying to say that everyone has a past.  Just because Todd's past relationship with that lady's friend didn't go well, that does not mean Todd's current relationship with Kandi will experience the same hardships.  Just like Peter in his past dealings.  Doesn't mean that those past issues will present themselves in his relationship with Cynthia.  Point blank.  Point MADE!

So, Miss Cynthia got her hubby all in his feelings because he thinks Kandi is just randomly talking shit 'bout him all because her dude (Todd) was put on blast.

Like I said: Messy!

And before I touch on the PJ Party, I gotta speak on Ms. Kenya:  she visited a fertility specialist  and sperm bank to see about birthing a baby.

And can I just say: She is so full of shit! How the hell she stay hollerin' about this damn African oil tycoon, but she's going to get sperm from a damn bank?!  Distance is not an issue when you have Oil Tycoon Dolla$$, okay!  And I can imagine (leisure) time isn't much of an issue either.  Where the hell is this (imaginary) man?!!

And then she (jokingly) says she wants Obama or Jordan sperm. The donor's traits will probably be the least of her or any of her unborn child(ren)'s worries.   The real worry is what SHE is bringing to the Offspring Table: INSANITY on INSANITY on INSANITY!!! (Like NeNe said, "Keep it all the way REAL!)

Now, about this party... The female "model" at that party...?? (No ma'am!)  I know Cynthia is on Time Out and all, but NeNe could have reached out to her for something real and a tad bit firmer on the "model" tip.

And how about Miss Nene strutting all over the damn room?! She was looking cute. That lingerie hid what it needed to hide and accentuated those beautiful legs of hers!  But, I still say the all night long struttin' was a bit EXTRA.

Just like her asking lil Miss Porsha to read the first question of the night was a lil on the EXTRA side.  Why did she try to put that girl on the spot by asking her to read ANY question card?! She ain't think ole Porsha Porsh knew how to read.  Porsha got her on that one. (HA!)

And those questions were a straight set up from jump:   "Would you go for a bisexual partner?" (Kordell's alleged activity)..  "Are you okay with being around someone that you know messed with your partner in the past?" (Chuck Smith, Kandi and Phaedra)..  I mean.. This was the MOST obvious attempt to get the participants poppin'!

When Porsha brought up the whole strip club thing, saying she wouldn't want her man going to one, I thought that was going to be the beginning of the fight the previews had been teasing us with.  Peter straight jumped out there by calling out the other guys in the room on their strip club attendance and then lying, saying that he goes but doesn't participate.  Had he kept his mouth closed on the entire topic, Kandi wouldn't have had the room to correct him and he wouldn't have been feelin' tight over getting called out.

I never could understand why the hell people feel the need to tell unnecessary lies.  Just keep your damn mouth CLOSED!  AND stay the hell out of other people's business.  Especially, if you want your business to remain off the floor.

However, as we all learned, Peter and his stripper pleasures was not the huge fight the network previewed, but it was Mrs. Lanethia Leakes with her mention of  Kenya and Christopher Williams' lady's argument at the vineyard.  Does/did ole Chris Willy deny the extent of his lady's position in his life?.. That is the question.  (Well, that is their question on that night.  My question is: Why'd Mrs. Leakes act so surprised at the conclusion??)

Once NeNe brought the topic up, Kandi was like, "Oh Lawd!" She knew it wasn't going to go well.  Everyone knew that wouldn't go well.  Kenya is a hothead.  That's all we needed for an indication that things would go way left.  Once Christopher stood and began to approach Kenya's side of the room??...  DISASTER!!

Now... As far as things escalating physically... We can thank Chris Williams for that.

Yes.  Kenya was advancing to his seated boo (that prob don't want none with ole Kenya) but Chris grabbed her by the elbow.  That is a no no.  Especially after his boo sat there taunting Kenya, "Don't try to back peddle now.."

Given the situation, I can imagine Kenya probably felt like a caged animal.  She had Nene, who is supposed to be a good friend of hers, chastising her as soon as she came through the door and then putting her on the spot about what she said and hollering "Keep it REAL!!!".  Then she has Christopher Williams, a grown ass man, standing up out of his seat and advancing towards her side of the room to get shit straight.  She probably considered him a friend of hers as well.  So, she has two "friends" jumping on her.  Then, we got a bitch she don't even know sicin' shit and yapping in the background like Kenya scared to own up to what she said.

So, yeah.. She had to get at somebody in that room.  It wasn't going to be Chris, because although he is looking all elderly and non-comp for a physical altercation, he is still A MAN! Man vs woman fights ain't right 'cause they ain't fair (in most cases). And she wasn't gonna pop off on Nene because Nene a lil thick.  Picking a fight with Nene may be a bit risky. She looks like if she get a hold of some hair, it's OVER! Kenya ain't tryna be slung from wall to wall.  So, she went the easiest route: A non-"friend" that's talking shit.

Christopher was right to keep her from getting within arm's reach of his lady, HOWEVER.. Physically grabbing her was WRONG!  He could have simply stepped in her way... He could have told Nene or somebody else to get her... (Whatever happened to "Y'all better get this bitch!"?).. He could have tried reasoning with her by talking the situation down... But you know, he came at her sideways from the jump.  And I get it, he felt disrespected by her first so he came out the gate with "I don't know what kind of medication you on.." But c'mon now!  Grabbing on a lady?? A No No!

The entire situation was a mess!  Due to their past work history together, this was a conversation that would have been best had one-on-one with just Chris and Kenya or at the very most, the two of them and his lady.  Not to be had in a roomful of people.  Public confrontations hype those that otherwise would not get hype.  Always.  And if one or more involved is the type that naturally gets hype, they have even more of a reason to turn da hell up when an audience is around.  Therefore, leave the confrontations to be held in privacy.  Especially if it is a genuine attempt to straighten things out.  (However, I have a feeling that no topic touched on that night was done so with genuine intent.)

Then, Apollo straight blacked out on Kenya's assistant, who says he suffered a cracked rib from the attack.  An attack that I believe could have been avoided (from what was aired).  Apollo says that Kenya's assistant hit him in the eye.. I don't know what y'all saw but it appears as though the assistant was on his back and there were several seconds of Apollo standing there and the dude on his back during which there was no punches thrown from either party then suddenly Apollo tries to choke dude out.  And we all know what happened thereafter.

Chaos.  Pure chaos.

Maaaannnnn... With that whole "Pillow Talk" scene, I am really wondering if NeNe was on any type of mind-altering substance(s).  That was NOT a meeting to get shit on the table and put it behind those with issues. That was a meeting to get shit stirred the hell up.  Period.

And stir, Nene did!

3 Killed In Shooting At A Mall In Columbia, MD

Earlier today a gunman killed himself after killing 2 others and injuring several more at a mall in Columbia, MD.

From USA Today:
A gunman opened fire in a crowded suburban shopping mall Saturday, leaving three people dead and setting off panic as hundreds of fear-stricken shoppers and mall employees raced for cover.
The suspect, armed with a shotgun, was among the victims at The Mall in Columbia, Howard County Police Chief Bill McMahon said. Police said a fourth victim was being treated for a gunshot wound to the foot. Four other people either suffered from medical conditions or suffered minor injuries such as twisted ankles, he said.
Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park, Md., and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Ellicott City, Md., were killed, police said. The identity of the gunman had not been released.
McMahon said the bodies were found in Zumiez, an apparel store catering to skaters, surfers and snowboarders, on the mall's upper level. Benlolo and Johnson were employees of the store, he said. The shooter's body was found still laden with ammunition, so McMahon said caution was being used and an identity had not been made.
He said he was "confident" there had been just one shooter. He said it wasn't clear whether the shooting was random or whether the shooter and victims knew each other.
McMahon said several calls came in to the 911 dispatcher around 11:15 a.m. about shots fired at the mall. Officers responded within two minutes, he said.
By late afternoon the mall had been cleared. Detectives were trying to confirm the identities of the victims, but no motive had been determined, McMahon said. The mall will remain closed at least until Sunday, police said.

..And Anotha One: A Mexican Drug Lord Tipped Himself Off To Authorities With His Instagram Account

One of Gamboa's Instagram Pics
Really.  When will those living on the WRONG side of the law learn to keep their biz as private as possible?!  Posting drugs, illegal firearms, major cash, stolen goods, etc. to social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc. is pure CRAZY!!

Folks that engage in this type of foolishness might as well just step inside their local precinct and throw themselves in a damn cell! (C'mon!!)

The most recent story involving an arrest and an Instagram account belongs to Mr. Jose. Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, who is allegedly a top guy in one of Mexico's largest drug cartels.

From Brothers On Sports:
According, Mexican drug lordJose Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboawas arrested for drug charges at the Amsterdam Airport. The funny thing, if that is possible about this situation, is that the tip did not come from a jealous neighbor, double-crossing employees or bitter ex-girlfriend. Rather the authorities were tipped off by something very close to Gamboa: His very own Instagram account.
Gamboa was arrested after being caught using a fake name after arriving from South America. A U.S. law enforcement official says he is suspected of being a lead member of the Silanoa cartel and also wanted for drug charges in  California. The cartel made headlines back in 2011 after hanging three men off of a bridge after one of the cartel’s leaders were murdered. The cartel also recently made headlines when Business Insider discovered it brokered a deal with the U.S. government, between 2000 to 2012, to smuggle billions of dollars’ worth of drugs in exchange for information of rival cartels.
Seriously.  What is going on with the criminals living in this "Show 'N Tell" World?   Back in the day, (before everyone wanted to show as many people worldwide as possible, via online sources, how they livin'), the law had to do a lil legwork to catch folks.  Nowadays folks is serving themselves up on a platter with this stuntin' World 'Net Wide.

Pure Absurdity.

Punishment For Photobombing?: Death By Beating??! (This World's Insanity)

A 23 year old California resident, Annie Hung Pham, was beaten to death outside of a Santa Ana nightclub last weekend after she accidentally got caught in a group of strangers' photo (aka "photobomb").

From Huffington Post:
A Southern California woman faces a murder charge in the fatal beating of a woman outside a Santa Ana night club last weekend.
Vanessa Tapia Zavala, 25, is one of five people who allegedly attacked 23-year-old Annie Hung “Kim” Pham outside of the Crosby Bar and Nightclub early Saturday.
A friend of the victim's told the L.A. Times that the altercation began after Pham accidentally photobombed a group of Zavala's friends.
The fight was recorded on cell phone video, which police then reviewed, according to the newspaper.
"Two or three of the female suspects knocked her to the ground, were physically assaulting her and kicking her, and they fled the scene," Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said, according to KABC.
Pham, who was unconscious when police arrived, died from her injuries Tuesday after being taken off life support.
Zavala was arrested Monday. She appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to murder, according to KCBS. Her attorney, Kenneth Reed, said his client is horrified by the violence.
Police are still searching for four other suspects in the beating death, including two women and two men. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the other suspects.
Santa Ana Police described the suspects as Hispanic, aged 20 to 25, according to KABC.
Pham, a recent graduate of Chapman University's psychology program, was remembered by family as having a big heart and a sunny personality.
"She had so much to give back, so much to experience," her uncle, Erik Doan, told the L.A. Times. "And it was cut so short."

Sure, walking through the camera's path when folks are holding their poses is a bit offensive.  But, death?!!  That is insane!!

I hope justice is served!  (Wouldn't it be nice if "Eye for an eye" justice were practiced in this country?  Think of how low the violent crime rates would dip.  Folks would definitely thing twice, thrice and beyond before harming someone else.)

14-Year Old Teen Killed Her 11-Year Old Sister In Illinois

A 14-year old girl in Illinois recently stabbed and killed her little sister (11 years old) because she believed the younger sibling to be ungrateful.

From My Fox 8:
An 11-year-old Illinois girl was stabbed 40 times by her 14-year-old sister, police say, and the reason why has many in the small Chicago-area community of Mundelein reeling in disbelief.
Police found the 11-year-old girl unconscious and in need of medical attention in an upstairs bedroom of the Illinois suburb Tuesday morning.
She later died.
Police received a 911 call about the incident at 8:30 a.m Tuesday. The call came from the 14-year-old girl, said Mundelein Police Chief Eric Guenther.
The teen told emergency dispatchers that an intruder had barged into the home, attacked her sister and then fled, CNN affiliate WLS reported.
Schools in area were immediately placed on lockdown.. “The area-wide school lockdown lasted only 15 minutes,” Guenther said.
But the teen’s story unraveled quickly. Under police questioning, she admitted to the attack, authorities said.
The teen told police she was mad that her sister didn’t appreciate all she did for her, prosecutors said at the suspect’s detention hearing Wednesday. WLS was at the hearing.
The teen said she cooked dinner for her younger sibling and performed other chores. She was also angry that the 11-year-old girl had recently hit her.
The night before the attack, the teen thought about it for about 10 or 15 minutes, then went downstairs and grabbed a knife, according to prosecutors.
After the stabbing, she took a shower to wash off the blood, called police and made up the story about the intruder, prosecutors said.
The 14-year-old was arrested and was charged with murder.
The case is in juvenile court and a decision could be made in the future to move the case to adult court, the Lake County State Attorney’s Office said.
Those who knew the girls said they lived at the home with their mother. Neighbors said the siblings seemed close.
The girls were often seen playing together and practicing cheerleading routines, WLS reported.
“They would always be together,” Mary Ann Gryder, a neighbor told the affiliate.
“The older one would be taking care of the younger one, and vice versa.”

Extremely sad!

And not to lighten the murderous sister's actions at all, but it is an arduous task for young children to act as the caregiver for their siblings.  This is a task best left to adults to handle.

Mentally, it is difficult for a child to overlook not feeling appreciated the way most adults can.  Or for a young child to even possess the ability to deal with the daily tasks of running a household.

Believe me.. As the oldest in my household (growing up) there were plenty of times that I wanted to bash my kid sister and bro square in the face! Knock some teeth out or something!  It is an overwhelming circumstance.  Thankfully, I, (along with most other overwhelmed older siblings), have the mentally ability to not act upon our dark fantasies when dealing with the hard-headed ones under us.  But it is definitely a burdening situation that can wear a child down emotionally and mentally.  Parents must take that into consideration and know their children's limits.

Two young girls, an entire family and community suffer.

Alex of 'Black Ink Crew' Is Suing The Producers of the Show

Alex, the fiery little latina of Vh1's reality show 'Black Ink Crew' has filed a lawsuit against the show's producers, claiming that she was roofied by them which caused her to act like a slut.  AND she further says that the producers then edited her scenes to make her appear even more slutty.

From TMZ:

Alexandra Estevez -- aka "Alex" -- filed the suit against Big Fish Entertainment and New Pop Culture Productions over a party episode that was shot in 2012 ("Mixxxy Madness") ... in which Alex appears extremely intoxicated and throws herself at the owner of the tat shop.
Before the encounter, Alex claims someone connected with production handed her a drink that contained a "date rape drug" and it completely messed her up. She claims she barely remembers a thing, including hitting on the owner.
To add insult to injury, Alex insists producers subsequently edited show footage to make her look as slutty as possible. She says she quit the show last June because she felt so violated.
Alex's friend Ericka -- not a cast member -- claims she was also roofied. Together, they're suing for battery and more ... demanding at least $1,000,000.

Even though Alex is apparently CRAZY, I really liked her.  I understand CRAZY (if you will), but this lil stunt she pullin' right here???  NOT COOL!

From the many stories I've heard, the "date rape drug" puts you out!  As in, you are totally unaware.. possibly sleep, even.  At no time has Alex ever seemed totally out of it during the shows we've all watched.  Drunk.. YES.  High (off the drug of her choosing).. YES.  Having a good time, being her true self on camera.. YES.  But never incoherent and unawares.

She needs to stop playin' and further embarrassing herself out here in these reality tv-has-been streets.

Alex is a cute girl and has a fun personality.  Instead of wasting her time on frivolous, made up lawsuits, she should work on getting a spin off or something.  Not with Vh1, of course.  I'm sure that's pretty much not up for discussion as this point.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Premiers April 6, 2014!! [Trailer]

HBO has released the 1st trailer for Season 4 of Game of Thrones:

Calendar MARKED!!  HBO's original series BRING IT!  I really miss my Sunday night lineup of 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Eastbound & Down' and 'Hello, Ladies'.  Why would they clump all those good shows together and leave us dry like that??!  (At least 'Girls' has began again :] )

SIX POUNDS DOWN!! (In Just 1 Week!)

I have been struggling with my weight since about 2006.  Up to that year I had always been at a good weight for my height; on the lean side.  Since that year I've tried shedding pounds and always quit on myself after not seeing results as fast as I'd like OR seeing results and hitting a never-ending plateau.

At this point, I'd last actively exercised on a daily basis about a year ago.  And the last time I've dieted?... I cannot even remember.  At 180 pounds, 5'3" tall, I've finally said ENOUGH!!  I had to do something!  So, beginning last Sunday, I took steps towards my weight loss goal of 30 pounds and as of this morning I am SIX POUNDS DOWN!! (Not even lyin'!--SIX POUNDS!!)

Here is what I've done:

  • Drank ONLY water (except 4 shots of Ciroc and 8 oz of orange juice on Friday night)

  • PORTION CONTROL!!!-- I have a food scale

  • Eat largest meal of the day for breakfast-- I cook dinner for my fam at night and eat only a salad or fruit myself. In the morning I eat leftovers from the prior night.  Keeping portion control in mind and usually staying under 500 calories.

  • Consumed 1200 or less calories per day

  • EXERCISED!!-- I purchased a Fitbit One last Sunday to kick off my whole weight loss journey.  The One is a tiny device that I clip to my bra or the inside of my pocket on pants everyday.  It tracks steps taken per day, flights of stairs climbed and calories burned, as well as a cumulative number of minutes (really) active within a day.  This device syncs with the FitBit Tracker app on my iPhone, iPad and Mac.  And I manually enter my caloric intake with the app's food diary (which also syncs to all devices once entered on one).

The Fitbit One really keeps me motivated.  I work from home and I find myself challenging myself to reach my daily goal of 10,000 steps.  Even if it is just walking in place for 30 minutes here or there, instead of sitting at my desk all day and being completely inactive.  I haven't ever hit that goal, but it serves as a great reminder for me to substitute lazy times with some kind of motion daily.

In addition to walking around my apartment everyday (most days getting in at least 1 mile), I walked/ran 23 floors (just one day in the week), and I exercised along with vids from the Insane Home Fat Loss channel on YouTube, such as the one below (3 times within the week):

Modifications in my eating and activity habits over the past week has put me on the right track to getting down to 150 pounds.  I can even see the subtle weight loss.  Over anything, that excites me.

If you are looking to lose weight, try out some of my tips.  Believe me, THEY WORK!
